BoxyCharm – January 2018

I’m back! Sorry I took a longer break than I intended to. I have been making big changes in my life, and I also got a new 2nd job. So I have finally found some time to post about the January 2018 BoxyCharm! I have been trying the products out for the last week or so and here are my thoughts.

Crown Pro Glam Metals Palette – Full Size $25.00

This palette definitely fits the theme of this months box, which is “Rock and Roll Soul”. First off I really like the packaging. It’s edgy and the guitar mirror is pretty cool. It has eight metallic shades and only one matte black shade. The colors to me are great for a fun glam/smokey eye look. The eyeshadows are buttery and pigmented, and I didn’t have any trouble blending them out. My favorite shades are Wild Thing, Rebel and Heavy Metal. The only downside to this palette is there aren’t any transition shades so you will have to go into another palette for that, but other than that it’s a fun palette to play around and try out some bolder looks.

Dr Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer – Full Size $38.00

I have been really enjoying this primer. First of all it smells good…a lot like the It Cosmetics CC Full Coverage Cream. It gives a slight illuminizing finish to the skin that is very pretty, and it does reduce the sight of my pores. It doesn’t exactly make my foundation last longer, but I don’t mind as I use a long lasting setting spray. I think that helps a bit. I am also so glad to see this brand again. I have always wanted to try out more Dr Brandt products, but they are on the expensive side for me personally. So I’m happy with this product!

It Cosmetics “Brow Power” Universal Eyebrow Pencil – Full Size $24.00`

The shade is Universal Tope. It’s supposed to adjust to all hair colors based on pressure. I am loving this product! It is just so easy to use, and the formula is amazing. It lasts all day. It also has a built in spooley brush, which is always a major must with a brow pencil. It Cosmetics nailed it with this product!

Pur the Complextion Authority Bronze and Brighten Cheek Palette – Full Size $34.00

I have some mixed feelings about this palette. First of all the shades are all very pigmented and buttery. The blush is a lovely shimmery peachy shade. It’s a beautiful blush topper with a light hand. Too much of it kind of accentuated my texture. The highlight is bomb! It’s such a beautiful golden champagne color. It’s so sheer that it looks almost wet on the cheeks, which I love! I have been using this highlight every day since I opened it, and I have gotten a few complements! Onto the bronzer…It’s ok. I usually prefer matte bronzers, and like the blush use this with a light hand. It can get muddy looking fast. At least it did on my skin. But it is beautiful and I think it would be perfect for the summertime.

Girlactik Matte Lip Paint – Full Size $23.00

The shade color is called “Demure” which means reserved, modest, and shy. It’s a lovely spicy brown shade. This is my first time trying out Girlactik, and I am OBSESSED with this product! This is definitely one of my top new favorite liquid lip formulas. It feels so soft and light on the lips. It isn’t drying, and it doesn’t transfer. It’s just so comfortable and amazing! Why don’t people talk about this formula enough?! I am for sure buying more shades. It is totally worth it!

All in all I really liked this months BoxyCharm. Specially since lasts months was kind of blah to me. I am excited about these products and I am excited to see whats in future boxes for 2018. This months product total added up is $144.00 and as usual it only costed me $21. It’s a fantastic deal!

Thank your so much for reading and until next time!
